Who’s behind Venice Travel Tips?
Venice holds a special place in my heart, and my memories of Venice go back to the days when I was a little girl (5 or 6).
I was used to travelling with my family to Venice by train from Castelfranco Veneto (my hometown), to celebrate the most eagerly awaited (at least for children!) event of the year: the Venetian Carnival.
Over the years, I kept travelling back and forth, alone, with my family and my friends for day trips and sometimes to explore other islands of the lagoon.
In 2017, I started my Master’s Degree in Tourism at the Ca’ Foscari University and during my studies in Venice, I had the chance to spend more days here slowly discovering the most hidden and secret places in the city.
Now I live abroad! However, I return to Venice regularly, and when I visit my family in Northern Italy, I also get lost in the most beautiful city in the world.
I’m not only really passionate about Venice, but also my region: Veneto!
I’m always looking for places and experiences to fully immerse myself in the Veneto culture, characterized by old traditions handed down from generation to generation.
I never miss a chance to try new restaurants using local produce and reviving classic dishes of our tradition. As well as, exploring small villages wedged in the Pedemontana hills (one of my favourite places).
My style of travel emphasises the importance of respecting the local culture, its people and their traditions. I will always encourage you to be mindful when travelling to Venice and around the Veneto region.
I’ll share tips on how to have a wonderful time, as well as help you make more conscious choices during your trip.
Everything from selecting traditional and authentic restaurants, to which souvenirs to choose and take home with you.
